Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Alot of our jobs are in virus and malware removal. Many of our clients come to us without an antivirus solution. After service is complete, we give the client options as well as tips to keep their computer safe.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. We @ New York PC Doctors offer the same and in some of our reviews, a better quality of work than the big guys in the business, but at prices between 25%-50% lower than the major competitors. Our reviews can be found at http://www.nypcdocs.com/ratinginfo.htm
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Every call is like a new challenge and I learn something new as i go along. I encounter a new experience that takes me further in depth of my career.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I've always had a thing for computers since the age of 16. I started in high school by breaking them down and exploring the inner components. Later on, I moved to the various operating systems and peripherals. In 2003, I received my A+ Certification decided to make a career out of it.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. A recent residential client was having problems with dropped internet connections with FIOS service. She explained to me that technicians sent out by the company would come out to 'fix' the issue but as soon as they left, the problem came back almost immediately after. She's had this issue for a few years, even from her previous provider. After testing, I myself was almost stuck on what was wrong until I realized that the 'trained professional' left a router hooked to another router causing IP address conflicts. The customer called to thank me, stating that this is the first time in a long time that her internet has worked continuously.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes. For 2011 I will be pursuing certifications for Microsoft, Linux, Apple, Dell and others....In the mean time, I read magazine reviews and ask the advice of colleagues in my field.
