Matt is a certified dog-trainer with the Animal Behavior College, and is a licensed and insured professional dog walker and pet sitter.
The philosophy and methodology used centers around positive reinforcement. I employ a scientifically-proven teaching method derived from dolphin training that uses a marker signal to reinforce a desired behavior. This method helps dogs learn faster and better enables both dog and owner to enjoy the training experience.
Matt began his career by opening his own dog walking business in New York City in 2008 inspired by his passion for animals.
He was invited by Kate Perry of Kate Perry Dog Training to be her assistant and continues to study intensively with her on more advanced cases.
Matt grew up in Ohio where he and his father were active sportsmen and trained many of their own working dogs. He has also completed his animal First Aid/CPR certification with the American Red Cross and continues to stay abreast of new methodology and technique through seminars and industry publications

Matt walked my dog molly an older beagle and my little rescue terrier Ruby, who was a handful to say the least. Matt was so gentle and kind to both dogs who are sadly gone now. Matt trained my beagle to pass her pet therapy course and of course she passed with flying colors! Matt's interaction with my dogs were wonderful. He is a great find in a city of hard to find people to care for and walk your dogs.

I'd met Matt walking other dogs around the neighborhood many times and our husky got on well with him. When the time came, it was a simple decision to ask Matt if he could walk her.
You can tell pretty quickly whether a dog walker is good or bad. Matt is so good. The animals all love him, and he handles them well. He clearly loves them and is great at handling them. Calm, in control, and friendly.
Many people in the area know him already and in a year and a half I've yet to hear a bad word said about him. I'd recommend him to anyone who needs a dog walker.
Of course, Matt does much more than just walk dogs, but that's all we've needed from him so far. Can't recommend him highly enough.

After I rescued an abandoned Rhodesian Ridgeback, Matt helped me bring her back to health, give regular, thorough care when I couldn't be around and gave her excellent training and reinforcement of her already learned commands. I would highly recommend Matt for his quality of care and professionalism. Haven't met another dog walker as caring, knowledgeable and professional as he.

Matt has walked my and my girlfriend's dogs for the past 2 years and has been great. Matt's demeanor with the dogs is great - he's very gentle and friendly, yet also has the appropriate amount of confidence and control. I've seen him with several animals - they all love him and follow his commands without any issues.
Always flexible and responsive, Matt has stepped up and walked the dogs in a pinch on countless occasions. He is also a great source of information and advice on everything having to do with dogs, including grooming, training, feeding, etc.
I have the utmost trust and confidence in Matt to take excellent care of my most precious possession (my dog!), and I don't know that I can pay him a higher compliment or give a strong recommendation than that.

While we don't have dogs to walk, Matt also offers pet-sitting and feeding services and we have hired him on many occasions to feed and care for our rabbits when we're away. He always does a fantastic job when he stops in to give them food, clean their litter box, check their water and let them out of the cage to play for awhile. The bunnies love him, and so do we.
