Introduction: I am a touring professional; I have a B.A. in music as well as extensive studies in music. I was a clinician for Martin Guitars. I have 5 Cds out. Seeing the improvement in my students as they struggle to learn an instrument, seeing my students learn to sing with more confidence and stronger voices.

I'm an 80 yr old guy with rheumatoid arthritis challenging nature by an attempt to learn to frail the banjo as accompaniment to singing. My left hand is unable to do almost all 3-finger chords. She took on this challenge and impressed me no end with her ability to show me how to adapt. Can you think of a more difficult challenge than teaching the manually handicapped to be effective musicians????

Robin has provided my 7-year old daughter with ukulele lessons. We could not have asked for a more patient, enthusiastic teacher. Robin is flexible and dependable. She has provided an all-around great experience.

Great Guitar Teacher for my son, 11y.o. Patient & kind. Follows our lead as to what the goal of the lessons are - we want him to learn and have fun.

I have been taking banjo lessons from Robin for the past year and she is an outstanding instructor. She's very flexible with scheduling appointments and since working with her my skill level has increased exponentially. I picked up the banjo on a whim and with Robin's instruction, it has been a great decision.

Hired on Thumbtack

I found Robin on Thumbtack last Spring and have been taking lessons with her ever since. She is patient, knowledgeable, and open to work on whatever I want to work on at the time, which I love. She has helped me with all of my fundamentals and has given me a great basis for playing the banjo. She will even write me my own arrangements for songs if I am having trouble with them, and is always able to give me tips on how to play through a troublesome part of a song. I plan to take lessons with her for a long time.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
