I am a perfectionist. To be successful in this line of work this is an essential quality! I also take time with my clients. I never rush through hair or makeup. My goal is to have my client feeling absolutely beautiful when she leaves the chair. Apart from all the fun stuff - working with colours and creating all kinds of different makeup and hair looks, I really love getting to know the people I work with. Hearing their stories and developing a relationship beginning at first contact through to the completion of the job. Seeing someone look in the mirror and tell me they are so happy and that this is the best they have ever looked is an incredibly satisfying part of my job.

Laura did my hair and makeup and my Mum's makeup for my wedding. Laura did an absolutely fantastic job. She took time and care to understand what we each wanted and how we each liked to look when made up. This was particularly important for me, because I wanted to look pretty and glamorous but not too 'made up' (I still wanted to look like me!) and I didn't do a make-up trial to check my look before the wedding day. After Laura had worked her magic, I thought my make-up and hair both looked fantastic. I still looked natural and like myself, just a more glamorous version! Mum was also absolutely delighted with her look, too. Laura was also delightful company while we were getting ready. She was sweet, chatty and relaxed and really added to the experience of the day. She went the extra mile and even offered to do my Mum's hair, even though this wasn't part of my original request. She even insisted that there be no increase in her agreed fees for this extra service. At one point in the afternoon, I had second thoughts about how to style some flowers I was wearing in my hair. Laura's professionalism shone through when she gently guided me away from the changed style that I was considering (which on reflection, would not have looked right) towards something much more in keeping with the overall look I had discussed with her. I am grateful for Laura's input and after seeing the photos, am really glad Laura guided me away from my last minute change of mind! I would not hesitate to use Laura again for any event where I wanted to look pretty, glamorous and natural. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Laura's great! She did my wedding hair and makeup and also a trial day too. Everything looked beautiful. I received compliments all day (and night) about how great it all looked. Keep in mind too that this all help up perfectly for 12+ hours. Laura's also a pleasure to work - would highly recommend!

Laura was the best! She showed up with her bag of goodies and made my hair and make up look absolutely stunning for our wedding day. Everyone keeps telling me I looked like a super model in our wedding pictures! I can guarantee you, I do not look that way on a daily basis. That was because of Laura! She was beyond sweet and even played with my dog while I was getting ready! We loved her.
