A slowing economy is no reason for you not to improve your home or office, or to start a new project. The larger firms charge hefty fees because of their enormous overheads. I should know, I have directed interior design firms and designed for two prominent designers for a combined 12 years. Soaring costs both on the fees and products can intimidate perspective clients from starting new projects or continuing their existing ones.

As a designer, I bring impeccable taste, a discerning and trained eye, vast resources to accommodate any budget, and relationships with all of New York's endless network of textile, furniture, upholstery, lighting, art, antiques, carpet and accessories vendors. I also bring vast knowledge as I have produced A+ projects for some of the nations most prominent businessmen.

As a hands on designer, I am involved in every aspect of a project from A-Z. I have worked on private homes throughout Manhattan, East Hampton, Southampton, Greenwich, Darien, Las Vegas, Toronto, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and in Nassau County, Long Island.

I am as comfortable re-designing a studio apartment to solve storage issues and streamline the space to make it chic, elegant and functional, as I am designing an entire beach house.

Design is about good taste, listening to your client and executing their hopes while anticipating their needs. It’s a lifestyle and an art. It is a service! I provide the service with a smile and incredible attention to details, and I am highly organized and easy to deal with. Because this is design, it is a luxury and as a luxury, it should be something we both enjoy. The process is very important.

I work on an hourly basis and my design fees are negotiable based on the size and scope of the project as well as the client’s budget. My resume and references are available upon request for serious inquiries.

I look forward to working for and with you.

Question and answer

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most common questions that I get asked are usually about "Durability"; i.e. "How will my furniture and/or fabric hold up to daily use?"
My answer is that furniture should be used with coasters, place mats and table pads coupled with a table cloths. Wood is damaged by any abrasive force and therefore while it is not "fragile", it will certainly show marks or water stains if they are not properly protected. Wood bases with glass or stone tops are great alternatives for added durability.
As for fabrics: there are now hundreds of options for chic and beautiful fabrics woven with various stain protectors or with strong fibers that allow then to have a residential look and feel (soft hand) while having a commercial grade durability.
