Introduction: It's time to learn Japanese! I've taught Japanese for 8 years. I have wide range method from beginner to advanced. If you are a beginner, I will teach you how to introduce yourself first and you will learn number,direction, time etc...If you are an intermediate or advanced, I will teach you more rich vocabulary, local slung and beautiful line which textbook never explain!
I am also a professional composer and writer for music lyrics. I worked as a composer for a Japanese education TV program called "With Mom" which encourages babies and kids to learn Japanese.
I grew up in Japan, graduated from Waseda University. My major was law. I have lived in NYC for more than 3 years. I have been back and forth to Tokyo many times on business and vacation. I have traveled to more than 20 countries in the past 10 years. My passion is food, traveling and learning new cultures.

Aki is incredible! She is very patient and adjusts her lessons to your skill level. Both her Japanese and her English are excellent, and she can draw useful examples and experiences from her process of becoming fluent in both to help you learn more. I am extremely happy and lucky that she is my teacher!

Aki is a great teacher! I feel very comfortable learning Japanese with her. She structures each session so my time with her is focused, and I feel motivated to study throughout the week even with a hectic work schedule.
