Introduction: As a teacher, it is important to communicate with students as well as maintain an overall perception of their weaknesses and strengths. Moreover, my method of teaching interactively with hands on experience and incorporating art and technology into my lesson plans parallels the WESS methodology. My students remain engaged in their learning process and interested in the subject matter, while also enjoying the class and community. My expectations of students’ capabilities have a strong effect on their academic performance and achievements. By inspiring and challenging students and showing them that the skills they are developing in school have real world applications, students are more engaged with their school work and more successful overall.
