FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depends on the project. I prefer a three-month retainer contract, so we can really make changes. But I don't quote or define deliverables - things are always changing and you need to be agile in defining the goals and the outcomes of working with me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read all the time. There's a lot to learn about evidence-based business, science, medicine, and education. In my opinion, the most important management book today is "Joy, Inc.," by Richard Sheridan.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After writing five books about technology and business, I still saw tremendous failure and an increasing lack of relevant knowledge. People are stuck with and relying on old models that are no longer relevant. I decided to study decision science and statistics, which led me to learn many other things about working with uncertainty and being prepared for the future.
