Introduction: Dr. Weighart’s focus includes Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Emotional Health, Fertility Support, Oncology, and Pain Management. Her experience includes treating Pediatric patients at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA, in the ICU, Oncology and Hematology units. Kate also participated in a FDA Pain Management Study run through Rady Children’s Hospital. Her volunteer work treating Alcohol Addiction, PTSD, and Drug Addiction continues.
Kate’s education was devoted to the integration of Chinese Medicine and Bio-Science. She received her Doctorate, Master’s, and Bachelor’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in NYC. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Herbalist. Education for her Massage Therapy license was from The Honolulu School of Massage in Hawaii, and the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in NYC.
With 20 + years of experience in the healthcare industry, along with personal qualities of motivation and an abundance of patience, her goal is to assist patients in establishing a good sense of health. The body is amazing, and with a bit of guidance, it has the ability to heal itself.
