Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You have to use your intuition ,if you feel like calling a massage-therapist you have to, it is your body telling you you need it. Once you are on the table don't hesitate in telling your therapist what you need,if something feels wrong tell her to do it differently. Listen to yourself.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The body is a sum of it's parts ,everything is connected. Pain in one part of the body can come from another part.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. healing is a process, don't expect change to happen in the first session.I have to get to know your body first.I have to learn what type of massage is right for you.some people need a very light massage others need deeper work.
I can't force myself into your muscle tissue you have to let me in.I am just a tool that opens you up.you do the work by letting me in.it can take a few sessions for me to go deep into your muscle & make some change.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I combined energy work with deep tissue work to give you a holistic feeling.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Helping people feel better.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Where did you go to school. Boulder colorado

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I worked on a man who was in so much pain he couldn't sit for linger than 30 min at a time.after 1 session he could sit with no pain for 4 days.being able to help people be without pain for a while is why I do this.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I worked on an actress with a knee problem,it was so bad she was about to call in the understudy, but I made her knee better and she could go on with the play.
she was the reason people wanted to see the play(Shakespear in the park)

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. yes I study anatomy on line,i communicate with other body workers, rolfers, reiki masters, acupunturists any one who is in the field of body work has something to teach.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Do it. It is an amazing journey that never ends. You will learn that body work is about so much more than the body. It is about the person,no one person is exactly alike. It never gets boring because you meet so many people, and you will help them.
