Tutoring Packages:

Back to Basics:

Tutor provides homework help and also works on student's weak areas, as well as challenges the student's strong points. The Back to Basics package is ideal for those students who need guidance with their assignments on a daily, or almost daily basis in order to instill good work habits and maintain focus. (1 hour)

Back to Basics Plus:

The first hour will be used for homework help and review of what is going on in the student's class in order to instill good work habits and maintain focus. The second hour will be dedicated to a subject the student is having trouble with overall. This package is ideal for those students who need homework help and also are having problems in specific areas such as math and/or reading comprehension. (2 hours)

Math Madness!:

One hour is dedicated to math, and math only. During this hour, the student will have plenty of practice in math, including all math in his or her homework along with separate worksheets, exercises and games that are designed to improve the student's overall math skills. (1 hour)

Reading Rocks!:

One hour is dedicated to reading comprehension. During this hour, the student will be both reading and writing about what he or she understands about the text. Various types of stories, books, games and exercises will be used to help improve the student's overall reading comprehension skills. The student's reading will also be re-assessed on a bi-weekly basis. (1 hour)

Test Prep:

Test preparation: NYS standardized testing, and classroom testing (hourly package on a per week basis).

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a tutoring service dedicated to helping children achieve their academic potential. For your convenience, we make house calls around your schedule, making your life (and your child's) just a little easier.

At School For Squirts!™ we hire only college educated individuals with knowledge in specific subject areas, trained tutor professionals and New York State Certified teachers. We specialize in tutoring in general education subjects for grades Kindergarten through 5th. Our services include test preparation. We also specialize in implementing study techniques for NYC standardized testing in Reading Comprehension, Math, Science and Social Studies. Additionally, we prepare 5th grade graduating students for junior high school/middle school with challenging course work in all subjects. School for Squirts!™ has developed study techniques and various methods focused on the needs and aspirations of the elementary school student. Whether it be trouble in Math, Science, Social Studies or Reading Comprehension (to name a few) or just trouble focusing, our team is qualified to help your child work at his or her potential.

A. Helping children reach their goals! There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow and succeed in academics, as it broadens and opens up a new world for them!

A. How long does it take to see results in my child's academic progress?

My answer: Knowledge may be attained within one lesson, but the process of learning is habitual. At School for Squirts, we focus on motivating students in developing positive learning habits and curiosity for knowledge. Results vary with each child, as each child is unique, but it is safe to say that the results are seen in as little as one week :)

Our tutoring packages and curricula vary with each child, as each child is unique. We cater to the needs of each individual student by tailoring lessons to fit your child's learning style. Our goals are set in providing the best possible learning experience within the student's home, the place where all academic achievements begin.
