I met Stuart Emmons via Craigs list while searching SAT tutors for my sons and honestly I chose him because of the reasonable price per hour. He turned out to be a real deal. Stuart is helping my sons in SAT and occasionally with schoolwork since February and my sons progress in both SAT and Trigonometry are more than satisfactory. Please do not be lured by the overpriced SAT tutors, their teaching can be good but not necessarily affective on your son or daughter. The key of Stuarts successful teaching is a combination of his knowledge of the subject and his intelligently devised approach to a student. With his personal and academic discipline Stuart Emmons has become a very positive influence on my sons and I would highly recommend his service. I highly recommend Stuart as a math tutor. He has been working with my son for the past six months, tutoring him in tenth grade geometry and his help has been invaluable. Stuart had several tutoring with one of my daughters who was struggling with honors algebra 2. She hates math yet regularly came out of 1.5-2 hour tutoring sessions with a big smile on her face. Her grades have gone up along with her confidence. Stuart works not only on math skills but also on techniques for reducing math anxiety. He has sadly moved away from our area but my daughter continues to do well in her class. We will be having some Skype sessions with him if she encounters further challenges or needs a confidence boost. I highly recommend him.
