DJ Madi

Introduction: A Burkina Faso native, DJ Madi came to New York City with aspirations in DJ and Sound Engineering. And for the past 6 years, he has actualized this dream, spinning at various clubs and events in the New York City area. His sound reflects a mix of African, French, and American influences. This unique blend has become DJ Madi's signature and a contributing factor in propelling him as a major artistic force in the NY music scene. The self-taught artist is currently the head sound engineer and resident DJ for Shrine World Music Venue in New York City. Dually, he serves as resident DJ for the French Culture Nights Society, which produces monthly networking events around the New York City area. In addition, DJ Madi has performed at numerous nightclubs, including but not limited to Haven Lounge, Taj Lounge, and several New York City Circle Line Cruises. Most recently, DJ Madi lent his talents to the Mafrika Music Festival in Marcus Garvey Park as sound engineer and DJ.
