Kerry and I worked together for several songs on a vocal pop artist's album. She worked as lead engineer for this project and played a vital role in production as well. Kerry exclusively engineered all the vocals.
Kerry organized our work so well, we never felt rushed or strained in the studio. She had complete control over her environment. The artist and I never felt that the mechanics of the studio were in the way--a rare thing.
With Kerry at the helm I was able to completely free my mind of the technical aspects of the project and focus entirely on the artistic component. I trust her ears and her decisions above my own on many occasions. I don't go into a mix without her.
