Introduction: If you're looking for a drum teacher, I mean it, stop looking! My name is Micah Cowher. I've studied percussion/drums my whole life and have a real passion for teaching my craft to others. I'm located in the tristate area including New York City and Westchester County. I started out as a self-taught musician and then further polished my skills at New York University; I say this because I think it's important to give each one of my students their own style; that's what I'm all about. Once a student has the right understanding of how to create and be imaginative, that's when one can really run free and develop a unique style that is not only marketable as a musician but fun! Don't you have a drum set? There are no worries! I offer either my own drum set, your own drum set, or my services in bringing over a travel kit to your home. By the way, if you're a parent, you picked the right instrument for your child (don't worry, I can soundproof anything you want). If you're a student, you'll notice that learning percussion first is the best foundation for learning any instrument in the future. It requires coordination, rhythm and most importantly, groove.
