Introduction: Hemiola Music NY LLC Nailah Nombeko Founder/ Director Nailah Nombeko is a composer, pianist and educator. Ms. Nombeko is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music's pre-college division, La Guardia High School for Music and Art, and received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Mannes College of Music. She has 15 years of teaching experience working with students of varying levels of ability and musical backgrounds. The main purpose of Hemiola is to offer music classes for children and adults. We offer a wide range of classes. We have a class for you whether you are an experienced musician who would like to broaden your musicianship skills with a deeper understanding of music theory and eartraining, a professional singer who wants to further develop ensemble singing skills, or a toddler taking his/her first music class. Currently, we have classes in music theory/eartraining for adults, partner piano lessons,and early childhood classes for children ages 2-4. Starting in 2016 Hemiola will add a vocal ensemble workshop, counterpoint, orchestration, as well as other classes.
