FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Time is of the essence for some parents so I offer 30 minute sessions of instrumental work alone which is designed to keep students on their toes essentially and make sure the apparatus is in good shape.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently took a course offered by the Actor's Fund which now includes professional musicians. I was trained to substitute teach in the NYC school system. We explored all ways of bringing the arts to schools that have removed their arts programs. During the process we were expected to complete courses in Violence and Child Abuse in the Classroom and also the proper way to construct lesson plans and units to facilitate a long-term artistic goal.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was recently able to perform my own new work for cello, piano and clarinet at Lincoln Center. It was well-received and the performers were professionals and teachers in their fields. Corey Knick is now a graduate student in piano in Ohio and Dale Henderson has played cello from and early age as a soloist with orchestras in the US and in Europe.
