Introduction: Hello! I am very excited to start your musical journey and help you succeed at learning the violin, music theory, sight singing, ear training and some music history, too! As a violinist, music history buff and enthusiast for over 10 years, I am truly passionate about music, including the stories behind it.
Violin students will learn everything from the basics to advanced techniques, including positions, shifting, bowing and styles along with the theory and rich history that helped shaped the pieces they are studying! Suzuki method available on request.
Ear training exercises solidify student's understanding of each concept and enhance their ability to hear, before they sing. To solidify rhythmic syllables and accuracy I incorporate clapping and drumming exercises so student's are able to correctly feel the correct pulses before adding pitch. This increases the accuracy of sight singing while exercising.
If you are interested in only one specific subject, that is fine too! I travel to your home on your schedule
A little about me:
I studied at Florida Atlantic University and graduated cum laude with a BA in commercial music with an emphasis in business and primary instrument of violin. I performed with the Florida Atlantic University symphony for two years the principal of second violin and one year as the assistant concert-master. I have performed as a solo and chamber instrumentalist in South Florida for wedding and private events, was a clinician for the Sawgrass Springs Middle School Orchestra and performed in various venues throughout Florida. I can teach both the Suzuki method or traditional pedagogy, depending on the student/parent's choice. I also offer small-group lessons for those who have siblings who want to join or a mommy and me/daddy and me class, so the parents can join their children on their musical journey.
Past performance videos/online demonstration are available on request! Please message me for details.
