- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices range depending upon the complexity of the design, the ingredients I need to use, how far I have to travel to deliver the item. I do offer discounts off my regular pricing to customers who find me through Thumbtack!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask enough questions so that I understand what they are trying to accomplish with their desserts. This helps me to create the best designs for them.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have baked all of my life, but up to a point it was only for family. When strangers tasted my work for the 1st time, they loved it, put money in my hands for orders, spread the word, and that's when I realized I could make a living doing this. That was 21 years ago!
