FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate falls in the middle of the range for professional organizers, averaging $65.00. I also offer a discount for an initial consultation: 3 hours for $150 (normally $195). Other discounted packages are available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a phone call to briefly discuss the client's needs and arrange a time to meet, if that is desired. During an initial consultation (see pricing information below) at the customer's home or office, I'll conduct an assessment, which will be the basis of a proposed plan of action. We'll also start by tackling a small area and see how we work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and have been taking advantage of their many opportunities for professional development. Over the years, in many types of positions, I have taken responsibility for the organizing piece, whether as a teacher, caterer, office manager, or event planner. As well, my job as Supplies and Equipment Manager at Gymboree in New York, Virginia, and Maryland, a position that lasted for 10 years, I oversaw and dealt with teachers' needs in the classroom and beyond.
