Introduction: I have been in this business for over 15 years. After graduating from Boston University I immediately went into costume design and began working with celebrity clientele. Since then I have worked with both celebrity and personal clients. I offer not just styling but also closet makeovers, wardrobe revamps, hair and makeup consultations, personal shopping and more. I love that I get to help people with my expertise and make them feel their best. Seeing my clients' success is what makes me feel impactful and successful.

I had an amazing experience with Amanda last weekend. I’ve reached out to Amanda a little over a week in advance for style makeover / shopping assistance. She called me back very quickly to go over my goals and expectations and was very flexible to accommodate my tight visiting-from-out-of-town schedule. We have met at Bloomingdales and the way Amanda navigates that space using the help of associates as needed is purely amazing. We were rather limited on time and the use of that time by Amanda was spectacular. She was staying focused and very steadily and efficiently was working towards established objectives. She knew exactly what she was doing walking me through decisions she was making with a very good feeling of where she should push me a little further away from my comfort zone and where I may not be ready to do so yet. At the end of the day after just a little over three hours spend with Amanda I walked out with about 7 ready-to-wear outfits for several different occasions, confidence that I look fabulous in all of them and I enjoyed every minute I had spent with Amanda. There was 0 pressure to buy anything, on the other hand Amanda made sure things that were not “perfect” remained on the rack. I rushed out of my shopping experience with Amanda for the hair appointment with her hairdresser who did fantastic job making me look like a star. I ended up having to run for my dinner right after. I just pulled the dress out of my big brown bag and was feeling New York chic, beautiful, and totally worthy Michelin star restaurant I was headed to. I had an amazing weekend in New York. Starting it by Amanda and her team was a very special. Amanda is amazing, dedicated to making your wishes come true, running her operations confidently and smoothly, going extra mile to ensure that nothing in your makeover experience distracts you from becoming the new you yourself are going to fall in love with.

I worked with Amanda to update my style and had an amazing experience. Not only did she help me find a more polished look, she found a style that fits me and my lifestyle. Amanda taught me what works best for my body – I’m no longer buying ill-fitting clothing and I’m confidently wearing what I buy because I did so with purpose and I know it looks good. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone who needs a wardrobe make-over or freshen up. I used to use a personal shopper (at a large well-known retailer) but was put off by some of the items I ended up buying that ultimately weren’t me, but no doubt make a good commission for the shopper. By using Amanda, you will avoid all of this and you’ll only get what works – she has only your best interest in mind.

Amanda was great, she and her services provided a real game changer for me. The initial consult was really comprehensive, almost like a therapy session, getting to know me, my style, my self image, etc. Amanda then evaluated my look, body style/shape, wardrobe and we figured out what looked best for me. We shopped together and she pulled amazing stuff for me (work and casual) - incredible. I spent a lot on my new clothes, but it was all worth it- everything made me look and feel better. Amanda even went with me to get my hair cut and told my girl what to do! Two years later, I'm still using Amanda at NY Image... we do peridic reviews of my wardrobe and shop for new stuff as needed. This service had really changed me for the better; I'm more confident both career-wise and dating-wise. I'd give more than 5 stars on here if I could!

As a man, most of my clothes were years old and were for work. I've never had much of a sense of fashion so I decided to find someone who could help me. Amanda was amazing! She helped me find clothes that fit right, were fashionable and made me feel great in them! She was easy to work with and accommodating to my busy work schedule. That was really important to me because I don't have a lot of free time and I also don't going shopping. Now I have an extra element of confidence because of how I feel I look in my clothes. It's not only great at work but also for dating! Thank you Amanda!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a more intimate approach. Each client fills out a questionnaire to know his/hers wants needs, budget, and overall lifestyle. I conduct a consultation, then a closet review, and shop for wardrobe and accessories and will advise also on hair and makeup.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Costume Design from Boston University and have studied at FIT.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always interested in fashion and design. Growing up in Manhattan I worked in the best stores, and was inspired by high fashion. After college I started working in TV and film designing several shows. I worked with countless celebrities but, wanted to help main stream people understand fashion.
