Introduction: I am the unique combination of an image consultant and a personal stylist. Stylists have a flair for color, line and design. They can make you look amazing, but you may not have any idea how they did it – or how to get those same results on your own. An image consultant gets to know who you are - your goals, preference and lifestyle - to come up with wardrobe solutions that fit and flatter. And along the way, you’ll gain the tools and knowledge to continue doing this for yourself. In short, I marry the art and science of style to help you create a wardrobe that is not only visually interesting, but works for you on every level. I love to empower people. For me it’s less about the wonderful wardrobes I help my clients create and more about how the right clothing can change the way clients see themselves; give them the confidence to make positive changes in other areas of their lives and make it possible for them to achieve more personally and professionally than they ever thought possible.

I am difficult, a perfectionist, the only stony face in a theater full of laughing faces, and I treat compliments as if they were money. So the very fact that I am here to write a review for Carol speaks for itself. I was looking for an image consultant for a long time and stumbled upon sample sessions with 5 different professionals. So I chose Carol out of 5 of her top-level colleagues! It was an easy choice: 1) She was the only one who was well dressed. I am European so I am sensitive to how others dress, in what fabrics, is there much self-expression, etc. Her pitiful competition was decked in plain corporate clothes/or unremarkable preudo-wealthy attire. I know it’s hard to believe but they looked like Stepford wives and trend victims! Carol was dressed impeccably, but also with complexity and creativity, and everything she wore fit her small frame like a glove. 2) What impressed me the most about her was this: even though she is a top-dog in her field (she teaches as well!), there is no shade of arrogance in her - she is the humblest, most soft-spoken and empathic woman you've met! She will listen and listen and LISTEN to you until she understands you, what you are about and what you want to achieve. Then and only then she will give you her opinion. The other consultants would try to TELL ME what my style was, even though it contradicted how I saw myself. Not Carol. Her goal is to help you express what YOU want to express. 3) This woman truly understands Color. All 6 women who attended the color-matching sample session with her felt we have witnessed sheer Magic. When I got to work with her later on, Carol told me that some years back, even though she already had a lot of experience, all of a sudden she got this color epiphany, some other sense suddenly opened in her about color, and since then, she sees it with even more complexity. She gave me a swatch deck for my color palette – I carry it with me every time I shop and love it!! So helpful! So we decided on a package and before we met, she sent me an in-depth questionnaire – filling it out helped me learn about myself and that was crucial for the whole process. Her services are truly life altering. I am a bit of a shopaholic, and she helped me purge a lot, and, surprisingly, I did it without regret because of my trust in her opinion that the discarded clothes were not good for me. I now smile at my desire to argue with her over certain items – time passes and I realize that on every point she was simply always right! At the end, she wrote a summary for me, and I reread it often. In retrospect, I can't tell you how often I am reminded of her and what she did for me. Some of her suggestions have become second nature; others I am yet to apply - but every time I shop or dress up, there is a little "Carol" voice that protects me from purchases that wouldn’t be good for me. I had saved so much money due to that alone, that her fees are repaid many times over! Most importantly, I was left with the indelible impression of the enormity of her work. Carol is doing something very, very important. Image Consulting is not a luxury service -- it cuts to the very heart of our identity, who we are in the world and to ourselves. The truths we glean in an image consulting session can be easily transposed to insights about our personality, professional and creative affinities, our very essence, and molded on that, insights about the lifestyle that would drain us, and the one that will make us happier. If anyone is the real deal, it is Carol. This woman is worth her salt - it is a no-brainer. Just do it, it will be one of the best things you have ever done for yourself.

Using her amazing sense of style, passion for fashion, warmth, and humor, Carol “tamed” my closet (with wit and compassion) and simplified my life. Carol offered pointers and tips to educate me on what was “good”; “better”; and “best” for me but even more importantly how to “figure” it out for myself! Working in Retail, I now have a better understanding of some of the fashion nuances our Sales Associates encounter; and that extra “layer” ultimately impacts our customers and sales. On a personal level, I shop smart saving both time and money and now focus on what is right for me. The possibilities are still endless but I don’t have to worry because Carol is a phone call, email, or text away when that special occasion arises and that voice of reason and style is needed. I can’t say enough great things about her and highly recommend Carol – she is an absolute pro and pleasure to work with!

Carol is not only great fun to work with but also a sheer genius at making new outfits from the pieces you have. Before Carol I was someone who suffered from a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. Sure, Carol helped me weed out some items that didn’t work. But more importantly she helped me recombine other items to make ‘new’ outfits I never knew I had – but now wear all the time! (Her pictures and detailed follow up notes mean that I can easily recreate each look.) What’s more she is happy to answer questions in between sessions. I love that fact that I now love all the items in my closet – and know how to wear them! Plus I love the confidence that comes along with it. I highly recommend Carol and her wardrobe services. It may be one of the best investments I have ever made!

Carol has been my consultant for many years. She has made clearing out my closet easy and shopping in my closet fun and exciting. We come up with new combinations using what I have and giving a new look to old pieces. Carol is very creative and sees possibilities in items I love and don’t often wear. This is shopping without a credit card! When I do go out to shop, Carol is my “guardian angel”. She keeps me from buying items I don’t need or which don’t fit into my life style, and she sees possibilities in items I might pass by. Not making buying mistakes has saved me a fortune. Carol is kind, creative, and fun to work with - Don’t know how I’d do with her.

Creative. Efficient. Warm. Dynamic. Skilled. Those are a few of the words that come to mind when I think of working with Carol. I've been working with Carol for several years now - since after my first child. She is incredible. My time with her is the best investment I have ever made. Carol has done a wardrobe review for me along with colors and all that fun stuff - - and I've shopped with her several times. Working with Carol I have cleaned out the excess in my closet (she is incredibly diplomatic and kind during the 'letting go' phase!!), found great new ways to use what I have, and then filled out my closet with clothes that I can pick up in a minute and walk out the door with confidence and energy. Her tips and notes let me put an outfit together in minutes (which is all I have) that looks amazing, is flattering, and let's me go into my day with confidence. Carole is dynamic. She is a great listener. She's broadened my fashion so much but completely in a way that fits my career, my life and my comfort. She's helped me expand into clothes I would not have even tried on but look amazing on me. She's really opened up choices which is important - a little variety (and fun!)helps with the wardrobe boredom factor. When I started working with Carol I was frustrated with a closet full of clothes and yet nothing to wear. She's taught me the best cuts for me - how to accentuate my strengths and minimize the areas I'm not so thrilled with. How to mix and match. She's added life and style to my closet. For me, when I reached out I was short on time and getting ready in the morning had become a real drag. With a young child and another on the way I needed to change the status quo. In hours she breathed life into my wardrobe and gave me a focus on the few key pieces I needed to add. We followed that up some time later with a shopping trip and the rest is history. I cannot say enough about my experiences working with Carol. I am so grateful that a colleague gave me her name. Working with Carol has been a gift and I can highly recommend her work.
