FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always constantly researching for fashion trends, reading works of fashion literature and delving myself in the fashion world (especially living in NY, one of the fashion capitals in the world) to see what's hot and current. What new styling techniques will be effective to a client's wardrobe ? What statement pieces can take one's wardrobe to the next level ? What colors are best suitable for a individual's wardrobe? What certain pieces are best for one's specific silhouette ? The best of professionals are the ones who build on their craft and strive to perfection.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always had an upbringing in fashion. My father has worked in high-end fashion retail all his life (still to this day), his mother (my grandmother) a talented seamstress, my grandfather (his father) who was very into the dapper style and my mother who taught me simple and easy alteration techniques that I still use to this day to influence me into making a career as a wardrobe stylist. I remember being so much into gowns and sartorial looks that I had this make this dream a reality by being the one who donned these looks on people.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be take the time to get to know your professional provider. Are they knowledgeable of their trade ? Are they willing to do everything in their power to provide you with the most excellent customer service ?
