After being a decorated swimmer in my native land of Turkey, where I won Nationals in the 50 m and 100 m Freestyle, I decided to acquire deeper knowledge of the human body and training. Upon completing a four-year degree in sports science at the University of Marmara, I got myself certified as a personal trainer. For the last 10 years, I worked with great success as a coach in Istanbul, before settling in NY in 2021.
Each person is different and has different needs when it comes to training. It is very important to pursue a workout plan based on your posture, age, background in fitness, physical condition, etc. If there are muscle imbalances that cause postural distortion (most of the time there are) your plan should include some corrective exercises to fix it in order to workout more efficiently and pain-free.
