I've been training with Emma for years. When she left the gym I was with to go elsewhere, I went with her. Emma is the only reason I get to the gym on a regular basis. She is GREAT! She pays attention to specific problems or areas that I want to work on and creates routines designed to target those areas. But - she also has an eye out for what I need in general, and her workouts are exactly the right demand. I've been having a hip problem recently and the programs she designs have been extremely helpful with the difficulty. She comes at it with sensitivity and with a knowledge of the body and of the exercises needed. There's always that little bit extra with Emma, too. She has actually reminded me, by text, of doctors' appointments - and that's just one example of extra-curricular thoughtfulness. You know you're not just another client, but you're someone she thinks and cares about as an individual. - and, she gives a great massage . . .

Emma's a wonderful trainer! Enthusiastic without being overbearing or pedantic. Attentive, knowledgable, focused, engaged, and, most importantly, very thoughtful about her mission to get you fit. She really has an intuitive sense of what your body needs, where you're at physically, and how much or how little you need on any given day. And her workouts are definitely not your average workouts! Each day the exercises are very different, not only different muscle groups, but workouts for different goals (stamina, strength, tone, etc). One day you'll be mixing up cardio and strength exercises, the next you'll be doing slow-burn stamina exercises with periodic blasts of boxing. Compound exercises, isometrics, plyometrics, kettle balls, bosu balls, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, skipping rope - she'll throw them all at you. Never, ever monotonous. After two years of training with her, I'm still discovering different ways to engage my body, still becoming more aware of my fitness level on a more holistic level, and I love that! She's pretty nice too. (though telling her that won't get you an easier workout. I tried!) She'll push you, she'll nudge you, she'll will you into better shape. And you're going to love it. The best.

I've been with Emma for about three weeks now, and my body has already started to change significantly. When I started with her, I was 142 lbs, 5' 5.5" and would get winded going up subway steps. In three short weeks, Emma has whipped me nearly into the state of fitness I was in when I was in my twenties exercising 4x/week (I'm now on the north side of my mid-forties). I can feel my body getting fitter, my clothes fitting more loosely, and I can now bound up the subway steps. I have a weight loss goal of 15 lbs and I am quite sure I will meet it in the next 8 weeks or so with Emma's superb guidance and help. Emma is not only extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness, health, and nutrition, but she is also fun and witty. I am never bored during our workouts, which are always both challenging and genuinely enjoyable. Emma is also an expert at working around my knee issues. She is in short totally dedicated and passionate about health and fitness, and she will help you meet your goals. I dare say that she is the Platonic Form of a personal trainer. I can't imagine not having her and am already thinking about how to budget in order to have her forever.

I began training with Emma four years ago. She had no problems working with someone who was a complete novice, and managed to make me feel comfortable and even enjoy my training sessions. Years later, I am still training with her. I am stronger, look better, and feel healthier. Emma is challenging in her workouts, extremely knowledgable about all health-related issues, and charming in her personality. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

    Make sure that you're really committed to adopting a healthy lifestyle. Fitness shouldn't be something you just do, it should help you change who you are physically and mentally. Being healthy is the best present you can give yourself.
