Introduction: My background in dance has really given me keen eye for postural distortions. I have been unknowingly studying human movement since the age of 8. At Juilliard I received a greater understanding of anatomy and coupled with my NASM training, I can confidently say that I excel at providing clients with the safest and most efficient way of exercising. Results! No one wants to hire an expert and never see results. Results make my client happy and a happy client makes me happy. I also love what I do. Im constantly learning. Wether it is during a session with a client or from the trainers that I work with on my time. Fitness is a field that is constantly evolving and I believe someone has to be truly passionate about it in order to keep up. You can always tell when someone enjoys their job by how much they are willing to learn about it.

Rarely do I give anything or anyone 5 stars but Amaker and Morph-It Fitness deserve it. Amaker gets 5 stars because he is patient, dedicated to helping you reach your goals, thinks outside the box in terms of variety in a workout, he motivates and to top it all off he is extremely knowledgeable about the body and nutrtion. I would recommend Amaker and Morph-It to people of all levels because Amaker is great at tailoring a program specific to the individual. When he wants something, Amaker, goes after it and that attitude is contagious, it's great and refreshing to be around this kind of supportive energy... there is nothing left to say except if you want to get fit Morph-It!!!

I've tried working out many times in the past, each new attempt as much of a failure as the last. Motivation to spend hours every week doing exercise was something I just couldn't find, so creating a fitness routine never happened. Until I met Amaker. Like many personal trainers, his enthusiasm for fitness is positive and contagious... but what really sets Amaker apart is his remarkable ability to make workouts fun. I find myself looking forward to squats and pushups and burpees and bicep curls - things that would have made me moan with boredom and effort before - because his attitude and approach actually make them enjoyable. My hour-long sessions seem to go so quickly, and I'm always left feeling accomplished and energized. Amaker has finally brought fitness into my life in a way that is actually sustainable.

When it came to fitness, for years, I have lived by this mantra: "I would do anything for a great body - except eat right and exercise!" Then came Amaker Smith. As a 52-year-old man who had resolutely remained outside the walls of anything resembling the gym for most of my life, I had accepted the idea that if I wanted to look better I would have to spend some money - on better looking clothing! But, as I said, then came Amaker Smith. Amaker has a way of working that is so in tune with where I am that I don't feel any of the dread (or boredom) I had typically associated with exercise and fitness. He meets me where I am - Sometimes literally, coming to my office to work with me in the middle of my work day - but more importantly, where I am emotionally as well as physically. His workouts and his approach have always left me feeling like I've exercised enough to know I've done some good but never so much that I didn't look forward to our next session. He has also worked with me on both my diet and eating habits. Again, meeting me where I am, and making small incremental changes that I can integrate realistically into my lifestyle. While I don't expect to look quite like Amaker any time soon, I do believe I will look like the best me I can be - with or without new clothing! And for that I'm very grateful. I wanted to re-boot my work out routine. I'd been in the gym for years - working out on my own and had reached a plateau both with my body and what I was doing. I contacted Amaker to hopefully jump start things. The result has been fantastic. Not only am I doing exercises in ways that are totally new, Amaker is taking time to re-work my form so I can correctly lift. I've never gotten this kind of instruction before and it is incredibly helpful. After years of weight training from reading magazines, watching online workouts, and imitating guys at the gym, I've now finally gotten to really focus on how to properly lift and work out. Amaker really knows his stuff about how the body works and operates as a unit. He also provided me with additional workouts for the week in between our sessions. I know what I need to do and how much weight to use on my own. It's all in an easy doc that I just open on my smart phone. His knowledge of the body is excellent. His approach to session is warm and friendly - but with a fierceness that you'd want from a trainer. I'm incredibly glad I made the move to start working with him.

I have had an AMAZING time working with Amaker and began seeing results very quickly!! as personal trainer and as a nutritionist, he is extremely knowledgeable! He is passionate about fitness... his own and for his clients and is a walking advertisement for results as he was not naturally muscular!! he is stern and direct but balances that with a warm, humorously bright, and open spirit which motivates you to want to achieve :)!! I highly recommend him! when you're having a good time... it feels less like work... and when someone knows what they are doing and you see results it makes you want to keep going!! try him out... but dont take my time slot lol hehehe ;)

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Create specific goals. Most people who hire trainers begin programs with general goals like: loose weight, build muscle, look good naked. Creating specific goals like I want to loose 30 pounds by February makes your goals more attainable. Specific goals can be written down and envisioned and the first step to change is being able to see it.
