A headshot is an industry standard that has become an exhausting and overwhelming task for an actor - the hair, the make-up, the new wardrobe. Yet, it is the most important, and most often overlooked. The aspect of the headshot is the testament to the actor's true physical nature.
Drawing from her years of experience casting for the Off-Broadway theater company known as the Stagefarm, Carrie was often surprised that the actor who walks into the audition room is not the actor they expected from their photograph. In response, Carrie turned her photographic lens to actors in order to capture them in their true and everyday persona - as their recognizable selves.
