As my instructor for the course Photographer From Beginner To Exhibitor Professor Wheatman was excellent! Not only did he clearly and succinctly articulate the detailed aspects of using a camera and the various kinds of circumstances in which to take pictures but he distributed handouts so we would not forget the lessons! Moreover, he has established a Facebook Page, exclusively, for all of his former students to submit and discuss our work with him and each other for life! That is phenomenal! It's like being a member of a special club! It inspires you to work in the art of photography forever! He is not only a great teacher,but a great person as well!

Lawrence introduced me to the world of exhibition photography many years ago as an instructor at NYU. Although the class was one semester long, his relationship with students do not end there. He continually engages them through his Facebook page by posting opportunities to take your work to the next level, encourages collaborative critiquing, and widens his network of students each time he hosts their work at the Soho photo gallery. He is hands down the best source for instruction, education, and inspiration for emerging photographers.

T. Lawrence Wheatman was my instructor at a course I had took at NYU " PHOTOGRAPHY FORM BEGINNER TO EXHIBITOR" The course was excellent and threw his guidance,understanding and critiquing of our work in the classroom and on the Facebook page he has set up it help helped bring out the artist in all of us. The work and preparation for our one night floor show at SOHO GALLERY was one a wonderful and exciting time. Lawerence continues to be an inspiration to all.

I will always start with your budget, and only go over it when you agree.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The easiest way to learn is to teach, which I've been doing at NYU for 25+ years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a full-time musician who, after a few years of performing more of my original songs, could no longer make ends meet, and picked up a camera to support my music. After a few years of this I woke one day and realized I liked my job more than my music.
