Introduction: I am a New York City based Portuguese teacher and photographer. I'm native from Brazil and have been teaching since I moved to the USA more than 15 years ago.
My classes are all in Portuguese, and conversation is my main focus, even though grammar and spelling will be introduced as complement. My classes usually are for 1:30 duration, and I can travel to you.

Ig taught me Brazilian Portuguese for 2 years. She kept me talking and listening; we used music that I liked, and we talked about anything that came up. There are a lot of accents in Brazil, and I like Ig's and that's what I picked up. She grew up with accents from Belo Horizonte and Bahia, and she lived in Rio as an adult. That's what I picked up. From what she taught me I traveled happily in Brazil for 6 months, avoiding English the whole way. She is educated and earthy and enjoyable and funny.
