I studied composition 3 years with Adam Roberts in Istanbul, at Center for Advanced Studies for Music, in my composition masters degree program. He is an excellent active composer who is aware of latest new music. In these private lessons, he always understood the important esthetical issues of my pieces immediately and gave close examples from the repertory. Most importantly, every week Adam was successful at motivating me to write more music.

I studied composition with Adam Roberts for a year at MIAM, İstanbul. He is a great teacher who is very good at exploring and guiding his student's talent. He brings criticisms in the best constructive way. He always has relevant musical references to help his student. And he is definitely one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

I've studied composition with Adam Roberts for almost 3 years at MIAM in Istanbul, at the Center for Advanced Studies for Music. He's motivated me regularly to search my own path through new music without enforcing any aesthetical criteria. He's most concerned with the idiosyncratic process of his student as a composer, empathize with her/him and makes constructive suggestions without missing the fun side. Besides all these facts, he's a prolific composer with a broad vision.
