FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would check the individual's style and manner with children. Needs to provide credentials and needs to talk comfortably about what the goals are; in addition, should ask the parents what their expectations are for the child. The individual needs to bring to the initial meeting a sample of materials to be used. Policies need not be elaborate; but they need to cover the basic points: hours, payment schedule, cancellation policy (teacher or student), etc. The teacher should also specify whether the parent is to remain in the room (in most cases no); and should tell the parent when to expect reports of what the child is doing.
