Introduction: I am a classically concert pianist with a great passion for teaching. I have a music studio in Washington Heights (only block away from the 157st 1 train and the 155st C train.) The studio is equipped with Steinway B Grand Piano (7 Ft). Teaching Philosophy: As a professional concert pianist and teacher, I feel it is my responsibility to pass on all the insight and wisdom I have learn from my great teachers. Whether a student is training to be a concert pianist, or just trying out the instrument; I will give them the same amount of effort and expertise. I have taught piano to students of all ages and all levels of proficiency. Some of my student have had great success leading then to merit based scholarship to Interlochen Music School (High school) and others to the Evening Division at Juilliard. I have taught in various setting, such as music schools, summer festivals, master classes, and my own studio.

My heart does not want to leave this review because i am worried about loosing this amazing teacher. if everyone else tries to get him. I cannot be selfish and most share if I have too. Daniel is like the perfect teacher. He teaches 2 of my children but his teaching my son is what sets him apart from the rest. Many teachers have walked away from my son because of his special needs or if not walked away they verbally start arguing with him. Daniel is patient, persistent but not a pushover. My son who is very critical, one of his symptoms, loves Daniel. My son his also very smart and sees the difference between Daniel and his pass teachers. Something else I love about Daniel is that he is an artist who not only teaches but is active in his field. My children actually look forward to seeing him perform? I know for a fact that my children seeing Daniel play will encourage them to practice even a little bit more and what parent can ask for more.

Daniel is amazing. I had lined up several piano teachers to "try out" and Daniel was the first. I fell in love with him immediately and canceled the others. Daniel, a self-described "theory nerd" immediately identified all my insecurities and the ways that I tried to compensate for them (mostly pedal). He is flexible and listened to what I wanted to work on, but is also providing guidance in other areas as well, which will help me achieve my overall goals anyway. I can't wait to learn more from Daniel and watch my progress grow. Thank you, Daniel, for everything!

As an intermediate pianist I was specifically looking for a tutor (and practicing pianist) who could help me improve my technique and musicality equally. After one lesson with Daniel I realized that he absolutely fits the bill. Daniel is a concert pianist, he is enthusiastic and passionate about the piano, but more importantly a natural teacher. I learned a huge amount in the first lesson and am excited to continue working with him.
