- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was my love of teaching that got me into my line of work, but it was chance that pushed me into loving teaching--although it may have been fate, since I come from a long line of teachers stretching back five generations! Throughout high school and college I found myself taking every opportunity to teach that I could. I am currently studying to apply to graduate school so that I can teach professionally at the college level.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of jobs I do are long-term French tutoring for students of all ages or long-term English and reading tutoring for younger students. I also often, in the fall, do isolated or short-term sessions with students for SAT prep or college essay editing for high school seniors, although I am available for short and long-term engagements for students of all ages.
