Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When purchasing a sign or printed graphic make sure you compare apples to apples. There are several different qualities of materials that a company may use.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Pictures of the area where a sign or graphic is desired, like a door, wall or window. Providing the size of the area is a great time saver for quoting purposes.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I focus on the client and his or her needs, not the profit margin. I believe the best way to develop long lasting business relationships is to provide good service with a good product at a fair price.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I am able to be creative with ideas and solutions using a wide of visual media.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Can you make suggestions as to what will work best? Absolutely. I usually like to survey the job site. By doing so I am able to create solutions that enhance the site's visual aesthetics. If visiting a job site is not practical I work from photographs or blueprints.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. A sign company should also be considered a service. A good sign professional will offer the client advice even when it goes against what the client is specifically requesting. This conversation can be conducted in a very tactful manner, and is always in the client's best interest.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I started in the sign industry when I was in high school. I was an art major specializing in advertising design. The company's name was Executive Designs, which is what lured me in. Luckily I was able to use my creative talent.
