Introduction: I am a tutor of Castilian Spanish, English, and French to professionals in the global finance sector. I have had a passion for languages all my life. Growing up in South America, I had the privilege of being schooled in proper Castilian Spanish and British English. I started learning French with a private tutor at an early age and went on to study French literature and civilization in Lausanne, Switzerland. After being in the translation and interpretation business for several years, I started being disillusioned, not only by the poor quality of Spanish translations but also by some corporate clients' demand for "not formal Spanish." Since my expertise and preference has always been global finance terminology, my choice for sharing that expertise is now to teach and coach professionals in the financial sector how to communicate directly with their clients in the major financial markets of Spain, Mexico and South America. Based glossaries such as those used by the IMF and the World Bank, I help my clients to master the Spanish equivalent of the plethora of acronyms used in the financial world. By understanding the terminology used in stock exchanges of these nations and reading relevant articles from financial newspapers from Mexico, Spain, Argentina and others, the rapport that my clients will achieve by personal communication rather than relying on not always accurate or machine translations is incalculable.
