Ari's Tutoring

My tutoring experiences began 2010 when I was hired by the Yale Science and Quantitative Reasoning Center to tutor fellow students in calculus, differential equations, physics, organic chemistry, and biology. When I began my master's degree at Juilliard in 2012, I tutored extensively through Juilliard's writing center and worked on SAT prep with many private students. Since 2013, I have also tutored math, physics, and writing through Teachers who Tutor, a company based in New York. I have found that many students believe themselves to be stuck at their current level of ability in math, writing, or standardized test taking. My aim is to empower these students to reach farther than they thought they could. I provide them with the tools to do so by identifying their specific challenges and offering new ways of understanding. Math, science, and language all have strong systems of internal logic, and students often improve greatly when given access to these deeper connections.
