Introduction: Academic and test prep tutoring in-person and online are available. Hecht Tutors' mission is to ensure that every student reaches their full potential and experiences the joy of learning. Our approach is unique and delivers the results both parents and students desire. We believe that students must want the help in order for the lessons to be effective. Our personalized tutoring sessions are designed to leverage the students' learning styles. We believe that it is essential to develop the students' self-confidence for them to succeed. We foster the students, encourage them and empower them to leverage their talents. This is how it works: After a phone or in-person consultation, the student is scheduled with the tutor who best fits their personality and learning style. The student meets with tutors one-on-one at our midtown location or in the convenience of their own homes. Students who live outside of New York City but in the tristate area meet with tutors one-on-one over webcast or in the convenience of their own homes. Students who live overseas meet with tutors one-on-one over webcast. The lessons are scheduled around the timezone and convenience of the student. Students with learning disabilities meet with special ed tutors at our midtown location or in the convenience of their own homes. All lessons are noncommittal, and the student can book a single lesson as well as weekly or monthly lessons. If the student needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, there is no cancellation fee if it is done 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. That lesson will simply be rescheduled for a new convenient time. If a student requires additional time immediately after their scheduled lesson and if the tutor is available, they will continue the lesson, and the student will be charged for an additional lesson.
