- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The counseling center through which I see some of my clients provides excellent continuing education workshops for all of the therapy staff plus and I also take other courses outside of the counseling center. In the last 2 years I attended workshops on harm reduction, working with gay teens and their families, cognitive behavioral therapy, various aspects of couple counseling, and dealing with ethical dilemmas in counseling. I am presently involved in a program to train sex therapists but not as one of the trainees, for I am already a certified sex therapist. Instead, I am one of the supervisors for trainees, working under a certified sex therapy supervisor, and am myself on the way to becoming a certified sex therapy supervisor.

I help people understand themselves better so they can live happier lives and, as one of my clients said, find joy.
