Bill is a great tour guide. He is so knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining. I saw parts of the the Village that I had never seen, although I'd been there hundreds of times. I look forward to another tour with Bill the next time I am in NYC!

Question and answer

  • Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

    A. First, I am a licensed New York City Sightseeing Guide. I have been a high school English teacher, an editorial assistant for a major NY publishing company, a Sales Representative for Federal Express as well as Pitney Bowes Management Services. I have managed a tri-state company. But, more importantly, I was the doorman at the late Tavern on the Green in Central Park and have loved taking people for walks and rides through all parts of this great city.

  • Q. What do you like most about your job?

    A. This isn't a job, it's my life! I love getting up and out into the city to introduce new and possibly fascinating people to this definitely fascinating town - almost every day!

  • Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

    A. "Have you lived here all your life?" "Not yet."

"Have you always been a teacher?" "Yes, but not always professionally."

"Where do you park your car?" "What car?"

"Is it far?" "Only if you go the wrong way."

"How long will it take me to get there?" "About 20 minutes."
