FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! Always. I am in the process of choosing a certificate program to be recognized by IATA.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I beginning my career as a professional dancer in NYC, I needed a "survival job." I applied for a NYC Sightseeing License so that I could work as a tour guide on the double decker buses in NYC. I needed a job that was flexible that would allow me to attend rehearsals, auditions, and dance tours. I also wanted something where I could help educate and learn along with working on my public speaking. So this was the perfect gig. When I began everyone had so many questions and at times I did not know so I wanted to learn more. Also people began to ask me if I would give personal walking tours. And eventually that lead to creating itinearies for people and their friends whenever they came to NYC.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are NYC tours, group travel (corporate) to NYC.
