Introduction: I am a fantastic, passionate teacher. I am a professional currently working in the field I teach. I have experience teaching all genres of vocal music, including pop, musical theater and classical.
I get real results, and teach healthy singing. My students don't get burned out, because I give them the tools that lead to healthy vocal production, to keep them singing for years to come. I tailor each lesson to the student I'm working with, and always keep their goals in mind.

I have known Lindsay for the past seven years. We attended undergrad at Ithaca College where she was a Vocal Performance Major and I, a Musical Theatre Major. After school we both moved to NYC where I pursued a career in the theatre and she attended graduate school at Manhattan School of Music. We have remained the closest of friends.
Not only does she have an exceptional vocal instrument, but Lindsay has immense passion for what she does. She truly knows her stuff! And don't get me started on how diverse she is. I have heard her sing it all! From arias to pop to musical theatre to jazz, Lindsay Rider is a force to be reckoned with. Oh and did I mention she can act? Shocker! While the stereotype is for classical singers to park and bark, Lindsay infuses emotion into her singing. Not only is she giving you glorious sounds, but she's storytelling and MOVING the listener! What are the chances??
In addition to all these wonderful traits, Lindsay can teach! (Are pigs flying? Hell freezing over? No. It's Lindsay Rider.) Being a voice teacher myself, Lindsay and I have met up to coach each other. Our singing sessions have been full of great productivity! She really knows how to listen and identify a singer's particular problem area and offer sound advice to correct it. Her corrections aren't just for the moment, either. She will offer advice that will stay with you and only help your instrument improve over time.
I have recommended Lindsay to several different people of all different levels of experience seeking a voice teacher. I highly recommend her to you!

Lindsay Rider is a great singer whose advice I take very seriously. Also a professional singer, I often come to Lindsay before an audition to have her listen to my performance and offer her opinion. Lindsay is not only an incredibly talented performer, she is a fantastic teacher and has a gift for helping singers bloom and realize their full potential. Her personality makes lessons so enjoyable and lighthearted, while her techniques and pedagogy will help you to grow as a musician in lessons that you will be able to use years to come.
