Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I teach people how to use the microphone, how to present themselves, how to choose material. There are so many aspects to this work. My job at times is to be a therapist and really understand students and what they require to make this a successful experience.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I tell them to not let their fears rule them. Once they make the call I know that they want to participate in the workshop and I say that they should just "do it!" Most people have more reasons why they cannot do something, than take a change. I say on my website: Don't wait for someday - your someday is NOW!
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. These testimonials speak for themselves! The Singing Experience has been in business for 34 years and is the best and longest-running workshop of it's kind!
Julie Wilson, cabaret legend, says “This is the best performance workshop there is - Linda’s direction is magical!”
Danny Aiello, Academy Award nominated film star: “The Singing Experience polishes up the pros and nurtures the newbies – every singer should take this workshop!
Betty Dent, recent graduate, “I felt comfortable, confident, and relaxed in knowing that I was already a winner.....there was no way to fail!!! I can now put another notch in my ‘overcoming inhibitions’ belt!”
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love watching people blossom through music and song. The first night they come to class very scared and after the first session they cannot wait to return. It is amazing to see the transformations, and see my students become "stars." This is not only about singing, but about being a star in your every day life. It gives people confidence and the environment is very nurturing and supportive.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Do I have to read music?
No, you don't. There are many ways to learn a song. Our pianist makes a track in your key, you can watch different people on Youtube, learn from listening to CD's or the radio.
