Barbara is by far the best voice teacher! Barbara has been my vocal coach since i was 8 years old. She's taught me SOOO much! She has college degrees (it becomes more and more obvious the deeper and more intense my lessons become). She works with little boys and girls to old women. Her training is always straight forward and to the point. She REALLY knows what she's talking about! I've taken several friends to her for coaching and each one is more than grateful and satisfied with her teachings. She's extremely loving and knows almost everything [just ask her ;) ]. She's been in every vocal competition, beauty pageant, and to the greatest of tap teachers known to CA! She's inspiring, good hearted, and beautiful. Everybody will love her if they get to know her. Barbara is by far the best voice teacher of very many teachers that I have had in the past. She understands specifically what you voice needs and what techniques you need to train. In one voice lesson, she absolutely transformed my voice from a strained throaty sound to a clear and resonant sound. After many scarring voice lessons that made me dread going to a voice coach, Barbara has relieved my fear. She is as personable as any outgoing professional could be, and is open and available to any of her students whenever they need her. I have on very many occasions called her about being called back for auditions she helped me with, and needing advice on life as a performer. She knows her stuff and gladly shares all her wisdom from years of experience performing in New York City and Los Angeles alike.

Barbara is the best teacher I have ever worked with. I'm not some sort of opera singer, just girl who wanted to get on stage, and Barbara got me there. She helped me find a voice that I didn't think I even had and then helped me develop the confidence to use it. She found audition songs that showcased what I had. Without Barbara I never would have had the courage or skills I have now. Or the amazing friend that I have in her!

Barbara taught me everything I know about my voice. She taught me how to belt, how to control my vibrato, how to sing in a mix, she pulled a head voice out of me that I didn't even know I had, and how to not go home sounding like a frog which is a big deal considering how much i was straining my voice before her lessons. the best part of lessons with Barbara has to be getting to know her though, she will definitely brighten up your days! Since taking from her i have played "The Sea Witch" in The Little Mermaid, "Aunt Eller" in Oklahoma, "Snoopy" in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.

Barbara is an abolutely amazing teacher! My school-aged and middle-school aged daughters, thrived tremendously during their time with her, and so did I as an adult student. She improved each of our skills and confidence levels, dramatically, with huge leaps and bounds at every lesson.
We've experienced other teachers in the past who had come highly recommended and credentialed, but Barbara is in a completely different class. Every lesson counts with her, as she is able to quickly hear and determine what a student is doing vocally and mechanically, and to communicate how to improve. She has a profoundly good ear, which is of immense importance in a vocal instructor. And she brings an array of skills, not a "one-note" instructor, she can employ whatever each student needs to achieve their goasl. She demystifies singing and makes improvements concrete and achievable.
On top of that, Barbara is an incredibly warm and caring teacher, who understands that often singing is as much an emotional journey as a physical one. And I should add that her lessons approach is filled with fun and relaxing laughter, along with the serious work. Every minute of her vocal lessons are valuable and focused, as she is passionate about music, about teaching, and about helping each student to grow and be successful in their personal goals. A+++++++– Ruth
