Introduction: I teach private voice lessons for both classical and musical theater singing actors. The work is two-fold, building a solid, reliable technique coupled with an understanding of the material. It is essential that these two things work in tandem to achieve a complete performance.
I also do energy work with performing artists of all types to help center, balance and focus on both a physical and emotional level. Healing touch uses gentle touch (on or off the body, if preferred) to help the individual relax and release whatever may be in the way of allowing them to do their best work.

I cannot rave ENOUGH about Lisa Jablow! As my teacher/choral director/mentor for four years, she was indispensable. She was able to strike a perfect balance when speaking to me as a peer and a student, making me feel valued and never patronized. She is a consummate professional outside of the classroom as well; I had the good fortune to see her craft come to life on stage in many different forms and she never failed to impress with her presence and talent.
Lisa also has been so supportive and influential in my own career as a choral director. All I need to do is email or call her and she's ready to answer my questions and address my concerns. In short, if you have the opportunity to take lessons with Lisa, don't pass it up. It will not only be worth your time, but it may be the beginning of a experience you will NEVER forget.

Lisa was one of my professors in college who gave me voice lessons, taught ear training, music history and classes in musical theatre amongst other things. She was demanding but fair and excellent in her teaching methods.

I took voice lessons with Lisa Jablow in college. I was also directed by her in various vocal groups and musical theatre productions. Throughout my time working with her, I had several vocal breakthroughs and was always impressed with her skill level, professionalism and ongoing encouragement. Lisa Jablow is a joy to work with! If you have the opportunity to work with her, I highly recommend that you take it.
