Introduction: I have been teaching voice for nearly 20 years, and loving every minute of it. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor Ontario, and earned a Master od Music degree at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. I believe that all forms of music are exciting and deserve to be well sung. I sue classical technique to help singers achieve their best in church, school, theater, or professional singing work. My students have enjoyed competition wins, roles in their school plays, and broadway contracts. I am proud to have several students go on to post secondary education in music. I am equally proud of my high achieveing successful students who have enjoyed music lessons and pursued other passions. Teaching voice is a calling. It is a thrill to help a musician find her or her sidtinctive sound, and know that they will be able to present themselves in a confident and healthy way. I enjoy seeing my student sin their shows, and watching them continue to grow and develop as human beings. I have also been fortunate to work with actors and dancer to help add to their professional work. I am passionate about contributing to the arts and to building artists.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My lessons are $40/30 minutes, or %75 per hour.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always loved to sing, and teaching comes naturally. My undergraduate degree was spent learning from a voice care expert, and my knowledge has served me very well in my career as a professional singer. I have been invested in my students for years, and have been privileged to be able to help colleagues struggling with difficulties. I continue to develop my craft, and stay sharp by studying myself.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you try out a few different people. Singing is very personal, and you need to be able to trust me, or any other singer if you are going to do your best. Check out your teacher's education and background. This is a very physical activity, and you want to be sure your teacher knows his/her business, so that you are healthy and safe.
