The Actors' Enterprise is a fun and inspiring one-on-one coaching service that provides affordable career coaching to actors who want to feel more fulfilled and in control of their careers. With an approach that is hands-on and customized for each person, I help actors set goals, organize their business, and create a plan of action with easy tools that can take them to the next level, no matter where they are starting from. I coach actors in 3 basic areas:

*Career Development, aka Marketing/PR - defining the actor's "brand/type"; developing a career path/business plan; marketing including head shots, resumes, postcards, cover letters, websites, etc.

* Audition Strategies - monologues/cold reading technique; interviewing/networking skills, etc.

* Business Tools/Management - organization; tracking your results; finances/taxes; finding/creating a supportive "day" job, etc.

* Design - websites, postcards, business cards (We'll work closely to create marketing designs that perfectly communicate the actor's type and abilities.)

A couple of things that make me different than other career coaches is that, A) I am also an actor (member of AEA, SAG, AFTRA), so I know exactly what actors are going through, and B) my work history is in both the corporate world (advertising/publishing) and the nonprofit sector (2 membership based NPOs, including a service organization for actors), so I have a strong experience in the business. I also worked for more than 5 years as a marketing consultant and efficiency expert for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I work with actors with all kinds fo levels of training -- from beginners who are just getting their feet wet, to Broadway, TV & feature film actors who are looking to get something more out of their careers. I work with actors in all mediums: TV, film, theater, musical theater, commercials, print, industrials, and voiceover.

I normally do not work with children under the age of 18, because I think this kind of business training is really useful after someone becomes an adult. But on a case by case basis I will work with older children and their parents to put together a plan that is right for them.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Take your time in making your selection, and make sure you meet each coach in person before choosing one to work with. Career coaching is such a personal endeavor, and you want to make sure that the person you add to your team reflects your ethics and goals, and is someone you can trust to give you the very best guidance.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. A couple of things that make me different than other career coaches is that, A) I am also an actor (member of AEA, SAG, AFTRA) so I know exactly what actors are going through, and B) my work history is in both the corporate world (advertising/publishing) and the non-profit sector (2 membership based NPOs, including a service organization for actors) so I have strong experience in business. I also worked for more than 5 years as a marketing consultant and efficiency expert for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

I also have a strong love for community and work hard to connect actors to other actors, as well as other service providers (teachers, editors, photographers, writers) who can help the actors take their careers to the next level.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love helping actors understand that anyone can be a strong business person -- and that valuing the business side of our industry makes the highes and lows much easier to handle. I love inspiring actors to take control of their careers, and helping them understand themselves as artists and how to share that with the world. I really, really am lucky to be doing this kind of work.

And, I'm not gonna lie... it helps that it is extremely flexible and allows me the time to pursue my career as an actor as well.
