FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm not sure how complicated it is, but here's a sample: If I do hourly work, such as web maintenance, I charge $55 per hour (1 hour minimum). However, if I am doing a full project like a website or an email template, I will charge a flat rate. This rate can vary wildly depending on the complexity of the project. The greater the complexity, the more it costs. I try to give clients options when I do an initial quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oh yes, most definitely. Some of it I do on my own, some online (especially lynda.com), and sometimes I take classes. I don't think it's possible to be in this business and avoid it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Lately, I am working with WordPress a lot and creating "responsive" sites - websites that will be mobile-friendly and "respond" well to different screen sizes. I love the creative challenge of doing these!
