Introduction: I work with couples to make sure that their ceremony reflects who they are while adding a meaningful component to their special day. Together, we will learn what the different parts of the Jewish wedding ceremony mean so that you and your significant other can have a most meaningful ceremony as you begin the next stage of your lives together. "…he really made our ceremony so much more than we had hoped for." I have performed many wedding ceremonies and I use my experience to help walk couples through the process—to clarify what each of them are imagining when they think of their wedding day. Sharing special occasions with people and helping them to have the most meaningful and personal ceremony on their special day.

Asking Gary Katz to officiate was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. My husband attended graduate school with Gary, and Gary was the first person he thought of when we began looking for officiants. We were looking for our ceremony to be really personal and reflect us as a couple, and Gary accomplished just that. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we started the process, but I was pleasantly surprised every step of the way. Prior to the wedding, Gary took the time to get to know us both individually and as a couple. He walked us through our options and helped us to clarify our vision for the ceremony. His beautiful words during our ceremony were personal, humorous, and poignant. We received several compliments about the ceremony, with many guests saying that it was the most personal and moving that they have attended. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone.

Choosing a Rabbi for your wedding can be an arduous and stressful process. As soon as we met with Rabbi Katz, we fell in love with him, his sense of humor and his personality. Rabbi Katz, really took the time to get to know both us over the course of our meetings together. During our wedding ceremony, he provided one of the most magical ceremonies any Bride and Groom could ever ask for. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful his sermon and the ceremony were. The most touching part of the ceremony was his ability to include personal traits about us that proved he wasn't just our Rabbi but now a close friend of our family. Aside from being a fantastic Rabbi, he is an even better human being who takes the time to get to know his clients. A lot of Rabbis are formal, strict and cold and Rabbi Katz is the complete polar opposite of any of those traits. He is warm, sensitive and loving. We would highly recommend Rabbi Katz to any couple looking for a cool, young and hip Rabbi. My wife and I look forward to sharing even more special events and family occasions with him. Rabbi, thank you for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. We will always cherish your beautiful sermon and warm natured character.

Throughout the entire process Rabbi Katz was professional with a sense of humor that makes him the only person you want officiating the biggest day of your life. He put us at ease as soon as we got to the chuppah, and charmed all of our family and friends. Every person came up to us after the ceremony and told us it was the most sentimental and intimate ceremony they had ever been to. I know this was all due to Rabbi Katz's ability to connect with everyone he meets. Choosing his as our officiant was truly the best decision we made during the entire wedding process and we are eternally grateful for his support he extended before and on our wedding day. Thank you for everything!

Choosing Gary to officiate our wedding was one of the decisions we made that truly contributed to our day being so very special. Neither of us follow a particular religion and we wanted our ceremony to be spiritual and meaningful to us. Gary spent time with us together and communicated with us separately prior to the ceremony to get to know us and our story. This process was very comfortable and it was easy to see that this was not just going to be a job for Gary, but an event he was invested in and cared about. We communicated frequently leading up to the wedding day and he also coordinated with other vendors to ensure a smooth ceremony. It's difficult to express in words how happy we both were with the ceremony - it reflected us as a couple perfectly. The ceremony was mixed with serious moments, funny moments, and touching moments - details that Gary had learned from us through our talks and then wove unexpectedly into the ceremony. I felt that he "got" us and the personalization of the ceremony made a big impact on our guests. Afterwards, I had several people approach me and comment that they had never heard a ceremony like ours before and it easily engaged the guests witnessing our marriage. We cannot recommend Gary highly enough and are very grateful that he was a part of our day.

I cannot say enough positive things about Rabbi Gary Katz. From the moment my husband and I met him, we knew he would be the one to officiate our wedding. He is warm, kind, funny, easy to open up to, smart, and the list goes on and on. Gary took the time to get to know us as a couple before the wedding, which was something we were looking for in an officiant. We met with him 3-4 times to talk about our relationship and what is important to us in a marriage. These meetings truly enabled Gary to speak about us from the heart. The things he said during the ceremony were so profound that he not only brought us to tears but all of our guests. Our friends and family are still calling to say how incredible his address was! Working with Gary made us feel so at ease throughout this whole process. I seriously could not have imagined a better Rabbi to marry us. If you want to have a personal, intimate, loving wedding ceremony then choose Gary as your officiant!
