Edward is a second-generation photographer. Born into a photography family—his father being a famous performing arts and portrait photographer—Edward started to play with cameras at four years of age. Since then, photography became an inseparable part of Edward's life.
In 2004, Edward started shooting as a photojournalist with a daily newspaper, The Epoch Times. In his years shooting as a photojournalist for The Epoch Times, Edward has been on more than 1,500 assignments.
One of Edward's best friends decided to get married and asked Edward if he would shoot his wedding. That day, Edward found out that wedding photography is something he really enjoys doing, recording those happy moments. Since then, Edward began shooting weddings.
In 2008, Edward won the Grand Award at the New Tang Dynasty Television (USA) First International Chinese Photography Competition. In 2010, Edward won the Best Photographer Award from The Epoch Times(USA).
Because of Edward's family background and years of experience shooting as a photojournalist, Edward's photography style is not defined only by photojournalism or fine arts photography, but by both balancing his experiences to get excellent results.
