Introduction: I am a writer with over 15 years of professional experience. As a journalist, my articles have appeared in Big Apple Parent, The Italian Times, and The Caribbean Voice. During my years with The Caribbean Voice, I was chosen by Destino Madrid to visit Spain and report on its appeal to American Caribbean Culture. My personal essays and creative non-fiction have been published in The Red Wheelbarrow, A Cup of Comfort for The Expectant Mother, and have been performed in the NYC series, Rough & Ready. I was just recently awarded an residency through Can Serrat to work on my most recent writing in Barcelona. When teaching and tutoring, Essay writing is my specialty. My goal is to bring forth your best, most authentic voice while communicating clearly. I've helped artists with artistic statements, graduate students with entrance essays and high school students with SAT coaching as well as college essays. For me, it is deeply satisfying to share insight into my craft and to help someone tell their own story in their own voice. And, I love learning about people, their passions, their perspectives. It's fascinating to experience the world through the unique perspective of someone else's eyes.
